Lest We Forget, Remembrance Day For Canada, Coming Out Of Protest Mode To Write Again
I was asked by my honourable member of parliament to write on my blog again, I protested enough and missed writing, I promised him I would start writing again on Remembrance Day so we all do not forget old wars Canada took part in, and the present Trump war with his tariff concept on the American business partner, namely Canada. I came up with a phrase based on the song by The Tragically Hip, "New Orleans Is Sinking", under Trump, the United States is sinking and they all got to swim, Canada has a super tanker, do they all want to buy a ticket for survival?
The image for this post consists of my stack of Holy Bibles with my Canadian Coast Guard Beret with a poppy on it and a plastic flower pinned to it. In my stack of Bibles I also have the complete works of the Scottish National Poet, Robbie Burns. From this book I will be transcribing his piece of genius creation which is as follows:
